Progress Tracking

Goal Setting / Work Dilemma

Which is better:

  • to set a goal? I.e. you have 300 of something to do so if you do 10 a day you know you will have it done in a month
  • or just work your a$$ off until it is finished

Does the accountability of goal setting outweigh the benefits of doing "work marathons"? Of course you can always do both!

I prefer to track my progress, this way I can export my progress and visualize it with Tableau. Seeing the progress as a chart can be motivating... up and to the left!

Currently I have 1000 notes to sort through in Evernote, these notes have been tagged, but there are still several steps left.

  1. Decide which portfolio "bucket" to place them in Evernote Notebooks
  2. For notes that are "incomplete" i need to finish them and transfer to "hasBeenPublished"

Here's a chart of my progress: | Date | Notes Remaining (Tagged) | | 20240121 | 886 | | 20240122 | |
